LETTER FROM THE PUBLISHER
This gotoreport is brought to you from the land down under. Sydney is a beautiful city surprisingly similar to San Francisco in many ways. I'm here surrounded by industry icons such as Eric Meyer, Doug Bowman, Jeff Veen and more at an amazing gathering called Web Essentials. It is fun to hang out and discuss the future of the web, where we see it going and where we want it to lead. While not a CSS-standards club member, I am a fan from the outskirts and of course tout the importance of CSS in our daily web-based lives.
This month, the gotoreport launches a robust User Experience Resource Center brought to you by our own Dave Rogers, along with his column, The User Advocate: One Size Fits None?. We've been migrating quite a bit into handheld products and interfaces, and have had the pleasure of collaborating with ID designer Scott Summit. His work spans all of the products you know (Palm, Apple and Tap Wave) and some you might remember from Wired magazine (Digiscent). In this interview we discuss his views on collaborating with interface designers to create a comprehensive User Experience. Finally, contributor and colleague Dirk Knemeyer gives us his thoughts on Lifestyle Brands in the Digital World.
As always, we welcome your feedback!Kelly Goto,
