Phase 5: Build & Test
Overview
Pre-Production
Building
Testing
You've spent much of your time so far defining and preparing the site for actual production. You have structured the project, developed the look and feel - now it is time to compile and create the actual site.
This is the point at which the pieces you have contemplated, planned and gathered come together. This step is divided into three parts: Pre-Production (setting up), Building (HTML production) and Testing (the QA, or Quality Assurance, process.)
A comprehensive plan for both HTML production and QA is crucial to the project's success. Throughout the building process, it is important to incorporate QA methodology, whether informally or formally.
Now is the time to reevaluate your original goals from a functional and technical perspective, reassess the complexity and scope of the project, and reassess the capabilities of your team.
